Apatite’s Shifting Blues
Bright turquoise-blue gives way to deeper teal in this apatite bracelet, with cloudy white, grey and muted tan patches softening the colours. Its round beads form an oval loop, gathering the changing shades together while leaving their small contrasts visible.
The surfaces appear smooth and glossy, catching bright white highlights along the curved beads. Mottled patches mingle with streak-like markings, so the blue is never quite a single, even colour: it has pale interruptions, darker stretches and subtle shifts in tone.
These colours could belong to an imagined luminous cavern, where turquoise light crosses deep teal walls. The image begins in the bracelet’s own contrasts, but the smaller details hold the eye: a cloudy patch beneath a glossy surface, edged by a crisp white glint.
