Tourmaline belongs to a complex family of aluminium borosilicates that contain impurities of iron, magnesium, or various other metals that zero in on the colour of the crystal, which can be red, pink, yellow, brown, black, green, blue, or purple. The name tourmaline comes from the ancient Sinhala word turmali, meaning "mixed-coloured gemstones," or turamali, meaning "something small from the earth." The most popular and best-known type of tourmaline is Schorl. It is a black or sometimes dark blue crystal. Schorl was used before the 1400s. The name comes from Saxony (Germany), where black tourmaline was found in nearby tin mines.

Tourmaline attracts love and joy, will bring you good health and protect you from evil. By carrying it with you, you will surround yourself with one of the strongest guards sent by Mother Earth. Other people's evil intentions will no longer be able to affect you in any way. Disasters and various events will overtake you. You will not feel that life is full of good energy. You will be free from depressing thoughts and doubts. You won't have to worry about anything anymore because you've already been taken care of.

By meditating, carrying it with you, or simply holding a tourmaline under a pillow, you will cleanse your aura and body. It is believed that drinking heavy water from this stone or bathing in a bath with crystals removes heavy metals from the body. Besides, tourmaline normalizes blood pressure and improves the immune system.
