Rose Quartz in Petal Light
Pale pink softens into milky white and almost colourless tones in this rose quartz. Smooth, glossy surfaces catch bright highlights, with translucent patches beside softer, cloudy areas. The rounded outlines retain an irregular character: some lean towards an oval, others towards a softened triangle or a broader angular shape.
Rose quartz has a long history as an adornment: beads from ancient Mesopotamia date to around 7000 BCE. That distant glimpse of the crystal feels especially vivid against the pebble-like simplicity of these forms.
Its soft colours suggest a tiny garden beneath an arch, with pale petals catching the light. Fine, line-like markings bring the eye back to the stone itself, tracing delicate routes across the cloudy gloss.
