A Blush-Pink Little Heart

Soft pink gives the Rose Quartz Little Heart its gentle character, with cloudy white patches and slender pale streaks drifting through the colour. Bright reflections catch on the smooth, glossy surface, while translucent areas offer a softer play of light.

Rose quartz beads from ancient Mesopotamia have been dated to around 7000 BCE. That glimpse into the stone’s past adds another dimension to its delicate colour. Here, its character takes a different shape: rounded lobes, a small inward notch and a tapered tip.

There is something petal-like about that blush and white. In an imagined garden beneath a leafy canopy, the heart might be a fallen blossom, with the folds of a pale petal echoed in the white streaks within its pink outline.
