Quartz’s Frosted Spires

Bright reflections catch on the glossy faces of this quartz, while milky white areas offer a cloudier contrast. Small pale tan patches interrupt the colourless and white tones, rewarding a closer look. Fine lines cross several faces, adding delicate detail to broad, flat surfaces that might seem simple at first glance.

Follow the outlines and another character emerges: elongated, angular forms rise towards pointed, faceted tips, while broader, irregular shapes gather numerous smaller points. Glossy planes contrast with rough, densely bumpy areas, giving the eye plenty to explore. These forms suggest an imagined landscape of ice, with sharp peaks and cloudy stretches.
