Mahogany Obsidian, a Drop of Ember and Shadow
Reddish-orange and brown colour this mahogany obsidian pendant, broken by irregular black patches and speckles. The rounded drop narrows at the top and opens into a broad, curved bottom. Across its smooth, glossy face, a bright reflection on the upper right stands out against the darker markings.
In an imagined landscape, those colours might become a small cove at dusk, with ember-brown shores surrounding dark water. The scattered speckles break up the scene, while that broad reflection becomes a ribbon of light across the inlet.
