Agate in Soft Light
Milky white and pale blue-grey give this Agate a softly luminous character, with nearly colourless areas and a faint hint of lilac. Cream-yellow touches appear on some pieces, warming a palette that otherwise feels cool and airy.
Translucent areas mingle with cloudy patches, while bright white reflections catch across the glossy-looking surfaces. Fine lines and streaks offer delicate paths for the eye to follow, even within the palest tones. Rounded, irregular outlines range from oval and oblong to softly triangular, giving the pictured pieces their own gentle contours.
A little imagined river landscape comes to mind: pale pools between low terraces, lilac shadows and cream-coloured shallows. Across that soft world, the white surface glints become tiny windows of sky reflected in water.
