Snow Quartz, Little Islands of Light
Milky white meets soft off-white in snow quartz, with faint cream-coloured patches adding warmth to some of the pieces. The colour is gentle, but bright highlights catch on the glossy-looking surfaces, giving the pale forms a lively contrast.
Rounded edges soften irregular outlines: an oval here, a triangular form there, and others with a more block-like shape. They suggest a little imagined archipelago, each pale island holding its own outline above a dark, reflective sea.
Cloudy patches and fine pale lines offer smaller details to linger over. Bright highlights stand out against the softer white, so a pebble-like form can look both hazy and sharply lit.
