Rose Quartz Wing, A Feather of Pink Light

Pale pink and cloudy white meet in this rose quartz pendant, giving its wing-shaped body a soft, shifting appearance. Bright white reflections catch on the glossy surface, while curved, feather-like grooves alternate with smooth areas that let the light travel across the face.

Rose quartz beads from ancient Mesopotamia date to around 7000 BCE, offering an early glimpse of the stone as an ornament. Here, its gentle colour takes a different form: an elongated wing with a flowing, asymmetrical outline.

There is something of a feather drifting through a pale dawn in this shape. The rounded upper portion narrows into a curved point, giving the pink-and-white form a sense of movement, as though the wing has just turned in the light.
