Rose quartz – Palmstone

A quiet glow of rose quartz

Soft rose-pink and paler milky tones give the rose quartz palmstone a gentle presence. Its broad, rounded oval face meets smoothly curved edges, while cloudy areas and fine pale lines lend the colour quiet detail. Bright, curved reflections trace the glossy-looking surface, drawing the eye back to its rounded shape.

Rose quartz beads dating to around 7000 BCE have been recorded from ancient Mesopotamia. That glimpse of the past offers another way to appreciate rose quartz: as a material people chose for small adornments, as well as for its delicate colour.

In an imagined evening landscape, pale reeds rise above still water, their reflections softened into rose and milky white. The palmstone’s curved highlight becomes one last gleam on the water.
