The Bright Edges of Quartz
This quartz brings together colourless clarity and cloudy white areas, with bright reflections tracing its angular faces and edges. Some sections are transparent; others are translucent, softening the view through the stone. That contrast gives the quartz its gentle intrigue: clear glimpses sit beside pale veils, while the elongated outlines keep the overall character crisp rather than rounded.
Look a little closer and fine lengthwise lines add another layer of detail. Flat, smooth-looking faces contrast with rough, irregular surfaces at some ends; the shapes range from pointed to blunt, with shorter angular forms also visible. In an imagined miniature landscape, these could be pale cliffs catching light, their bright boundaries interrupted by pockets of white cloud.
