Lepidolite in Lavender and Light

Pale lavender and deeper purple lend this lepidolite obelisk a soft, shifting character. Whitish patches interrupt the colour, while darker purple areas add depth to faces that look smooth and finely speckled. The cloudy mottling offers a lovely contrast to the clear geometry: straight sides rise towards triangular upper faces, meeting at a pointed tip.

Bright highlights catch on the upper faces, giving a little crispness to the softer colours below. This meeting of straight lines and cloudy colour might suggest an imagined terraced garden: pale paths winding between purple beds, with angular steps leading towards a slender summit. Against such definite outlines, the tiny speckles and soft patches give the colour a gentler rhythm—little clouds held within a sharply drawn shape.
