Blue along the grain
Long, fine lines lead the eye through this Kyanite, giving its blue and grey-blue surface a distinctive grain. The blade-like form feels slender and expressive, with uneven ends, paler patches and small edges that catch the light. Its beauty comes from those details rather than a smooth, uniform finish.
Kyanite offers an engaging contrast to rounded stones in a collection: a different shape, a different rhythm and a blue that can deepen towards grey. Its parallel lines might suggest slender brushstrokes or a path running through a blue landscape. Follow those lines and the small reflective edges become part of the journey.
