Fluorite in Lavender and Leaf Green
Purple and lavender mingle with pale green, blue-green and nearly colourless areas in this fluorite bracelet. Smooth, glossy beads catch bright points of light, with some appearing translucent. Their rounded, irregularly oval shapes give the colours a softly varied rhythm.
Fluorite has a small place in the history of language, too: the word fluorescence was coined in 1852 from fluorspar, another name for fluorite.
The palette could belong to a tiny imagined canopy: lavender blossoms among pale leaves, with blue-green shade between them. Nearly colourless areas open little windows in that miniature garden, where a bright glint interrupts the richer purple.
