Flint’s Little World of Brown and Light
Brown and grey-brown tones mingle across this flint pendant, scattered with cream-white flecks and pale, cloudy patches. Its glossy face catches broad white reflections along its curves, giving the darker colours a bright counterpoint. The circular outline and rounded outer edge keep the shape gentle, while fine pale speckling gives the smooth-looking surface plenty to explore.
In an imagined woodland, these soft browns could become a canopy seen at dusk, with the cream flecks as small clearings of light. Yet the pendant has a simplicity all its own: a round opening held within a ring of irregular markings. There is a pleasing contrast between that clean circle and the wandering shapes of the pale, cloudy patches.
