Dalmatian Jasper: A Little Landscape of Spots
Cream to pale beige forms a light backdrop for the black and dark grey spots of this Dalmatian jasper stone. The marks are irregular, with scattered peach-brown patches adding a warmer note. Fine speckling fills the spaces between the larger spots, giving the smooth-looking surface a delicate visual texture of its own.
Its rounded, uneven triangular outline broadens at the base and narrows towards the top. Soft highlights pick out the pale surface. Seen as a tiny imagined landscape, the dark marks could be islands in a creamy sea, with peach-brown shallows appearing between them—a miniature map with no straight borders.
