Dalmatian Jasper’s Little Landscape
Black and dark grey spots scatter across a cream-coloured background, giving this Dalmatian jasper egg a lively, speckled character. Tan markings add a warmer note among the darker patches, while soft, pale highlights follow the curve of its glossy surface. The spots vary in size, so the pattern feels irregular and animated rather than neatly repeated.
Its narrower, rounded top and broader lower half give the egg a gentle fullness. In an imagined botanical garden, these colours could become pale terraces, dark stepping stones and little tan pathways curling between beds of leaves. Across the piece itself, the eye can follow a different trail: from one irregular spot to the next, then up into a soft highlight along the rounded top.
