Chrysocolla is a soothing blue crystal. Due to the copper ore, it contains, it is suitable for soldering gold. It is how the stone got its name. The Greek philosopher Theophrastus combined two words which means gold and glue. During the Renaissance, the mineral was ground into a powder and mixed into the paint to create a pigment.

This crystal is a symbol of love, growth and communication. It will invite you to listen to your heart, hear what it desires, and strive for it — whether it be a better connection with others, a refinement of your values, or a search for a new way of life. The crystal will surround you with its soothing energy, thus removing all fears and doubts that stops you from innovating.

By creating a close connection with the throat and heart chakras, chrysocolla will help you communicate sincerely with others and discover the magic of the words when you talk to people who need help. You will easily find the words you need to tell at the time for your interlocutor to make him or her feel better. This stone's characteristic will also help teachers or any other speakers where the information being said must be clearly understood and assimilated.

It is beneficial to wear crystal jewellery. Especially pendants or necklaces, because those are the closest to the throat and heart chakras. It is believed that this can reduce the sore throat caused by angina. The mineral also heals the thymus and thyroid glands.
