Charoite’s Little Islands of Colour
There is a lively unevenness to this charoite chip bracelet: rounded pieces of different sizes gather into an oval loop, their glossy-looking surfaces catching bright highlights. Purple and lavender run through the mix, interrupted by white, cream, tan and grey, with near-black patches adding a deeper note.
The mottled patches and streaks keep the colour from feeling uniform across the loop. They suggest an imagined chain of small islands in pale water, each shoreline taking a slightly different turn. In that imagined archipelago, a streak becomes a narrow inlet, and a bright highlight glints like sunlight at the water’s edge.
