Chalcedony is found in a variety of colours. It can be grey-blue, white, pink and red. The mineral is usually found among silicon rocks. The principal quarries are Brazil, India, Uruguay and Russia. Its name comes from the ancient Byzantine port city of Chalcedon, known today in Turkey as Kadikoy.

The most popular is the blue chalcedony, whose energy is very gentle and dreamy. It is associated with the body's upper chakras, which are responsible for our thinking, speaking, and communicating with others, merging with higher forces. The mineral helps to control emotions, express your thoughts clearly and express your opinion purposefully. It stimulates creativity and broadens the spectrum of thinking, which will help to understand yourself and others better.

This stone is like a dove of peace, which awakens fraternal feelings, goodwill, causes benevolence and generosity. It neutralizes negative energy between interlocutors. It facilitates hostility in conflict situations and brings emotional honesty to other people and oneself.

Physically, chalcedony is useful in strengthening the immune system and supporting the body's recovery from prolonged disease.
