Calcite’s Golden Curves
Golden-yellow colour gives this Calcite heart a warm, full presence, softened by pale cream mottling and faint whitish streaks. Fine speckling interrupts the broader, cloudy variations, inviting a closer look at a surface that appears smooth and glossy. Bright white highlights trace the curved front edge, setting a crisp line of light against the softer colours within.
The two rounded lobes meet at a shallow dip, and the outline narrows towards a gently rounded point. There is something generous about these softened curves: in an imagined landscape, this could be a little pool of golden light gathered between pale riverbanks.
