Blue Quartz Pendant — A Wing of Evening Blue
With its deep blue colour and glossy surface, this blue quartz pendant has the character of a small wing caught in light. Lighter blue and pale areas interrupt the darker colour, while tiny gold-coloured specks offer delicate points of contrast. Some blue areas appear translucent beneath the bright reflections.
Long, curved grooves and shorter diagonal markings create a feather-like pattern. The broad, rounded upper end gives the shape a soft fullness, while the curved outer edge sweeps down towards a tapered lower tip.
It is easy to picture a bird made of evening blue, its feathers carrying little flecks of light. Here, that imagined flight finds its outline in the grooves gathering towards one slender point.
