Blue Calcite XXL: A Cloud-Soft Landscape

Pale blue slips into blue-grey across Blue calcite XXL, softened by cloudy white patches and lighter streaks. The colours are gently varied rather than uniform, with small changes of tone giving the smooth-looking surfaces a soft, misty character.

Broad highlights gather on the upper curves, while the lower edges fall into darker shade. Fine lines and irregular angular markings bring contrast to the mottled surfaces. The rounded outline offers a softly curved contrast to those smaller, angular markings.

There is a little landscape to dream into here: an imagined terraced garden washed in blue-grey, its paths traced in pale light. The visible markings offer the starting point, with angular lines crossing soft curves like narrow steps winding through cloud.
