Aventurine Heart, a Little Green World
Mint-green and blue-green give this Aventurine Heart a cool, gentle palette, scattered with fine pale and darker speckles. Broad white highlights sweep across its smooth, glossy-looking curves. Rounded lobes meet at a shallow notch, tapering towards a softly rounded point.
Aventurine takes its name, by way of glittering aventurine glass, from an Italian expression meaning “by chance.” It is a lovely association for a heart whose tiny speckles reward a closer look: what first seems simply green becomes a gathering of subtle contrasts.
In an imagined garden, these colours might become foliage beneath a rounded arch, with pale flecks like openings of light between leaves. That little green world finds its outline here in the curve of two lobes and a gentle point.
