Aragonite in Peach and Shadow
Peach-orange and reddish-brown tones give this raw Aragonite a warm, varied palette, softened here and there by pale pink and whitish patches. Its clustered outline is irregular: short, blocky columns point in different directions, each projection adding another angle to the whole.
Bright highlights catch on the flat, reflective faces, while darker shadows gather in the spaces between them. Fine lengthwise ridges mark some of the projections, bringing a delicate detail to the uneven surfaces. Broad faces and narrow lines offer different textures for the eye to follow.
Seen as a tiny imagined landscape, the cluster could be a garden of angular towers, with peach-coloured walls and shaded passages. Its charm lies in those unexpected turns from a bright face to a dark recess.
