Tree Agate’s Little Green Landscapes
White and cream give tree agate a gentle backdrop, crossed by pale to dark green branches, streaks and mottled patches. Fine marks mingle with scattered speckles, while occasional tan, yellowish and grey areas bring subtle changes of colour. The visible surfaces look smooth and glossy, with bright reflections adding a glint to these softly varied, pebble-like forms.
Across the pieces, rounded and oval outlines mingle with longer shapes, roughly triangular forms and tapered ends. Their green markings suggest an imagined botanical garden seen from above: branching paths wandering over pale terraces. Some patches are dark and concentrated; other marks are slender and delicate, drawing the eye along a little green trail through a cream-coloured landscape.
