Nuummite is a dark metamorphic rock known for narrow flashes of gold, bronze, copper, blue or green that ignite when it meets the light at the correct angle. Classic Greenland material is composed mainly of the amphiboles Anthophyllite and Gedrite and takes its name from the Nuuk region.
