Tourmaline Schorl, Dark Islands of Light
Predominantly black, these tourmaline schorl stones reveal dark blue-grey areas and scattered pale marks across their surfaces. Bright light catches glossy patches in sharp white reflections, while grooves, pits and uneven areas interrupt the shine. That contrast gives them a varied character: smooth-looking in one place, visibly textured in another.
Rounded shapes mingle with more angular, roughly triangular and block-like forms. In an imagined sea, they could become a gathering of small dark islands, each with its own irregular shoreline.
