Tiger Eye’s Golden Architecture

Golden-yellow and warm brown bands give this tiger eye obelisk a richly striped character, with near-black areas bringing depth to the lighter tones. Its smooth, glossy faces catch bright highlights, while fine streaks and thin, irregular pale lines offer smaller paths for the eye to follow. Straight edges rise towards an angular, faceted point.

Tiger eye is known for chatoyancy: a silky band of light that seems to move, created by aligned fibrous inclusions. This play of light invites a small imagined world—a garden enclosed by amber-coloured arches, with deep brown shadows between them. In that world, the obelisk becomes a slender watchtower, its sharp summit a glint of gold above the dark archways.
