Tiger Eye, Warmth with an Edge

Golden-yellow and orange-brown meet deeper reddish-brown in this tiger eye obelisk, with dark brown to nearly black streaks adding bold contrast. Its straight sides rise to an angular, pyramidal point, where pale highlights catch on the top faces. Fine lines and scattered small surface marks bring delicate detail to the smooth, glossy surfaces.

Tiger eye’s characteristic silky, moving band of light is called chatoyancy and comes from aligned fibrous inclusions. The name captures something of the crystal family’s appeal: light that seems to travel rather than stay still.

These warm colours suggest an imagined terraced garden, with golden paths, russet planting beds and deep shadows between levels. In that miniature world, the pointed top becomes a sunlit lookout above the winding garden paths.
