Blue waves and a patterned glint

The Sodalite bracelet gathers deep navy and brighter blue into an oval loop of glossy round beads. White and pale grey patches and streaks wander through the mottled surfaces, each bead showing a different balance of colour. Bright reflections catch against the darker blues, bringing their contrasts into focus.

There is a mineral-family connection, too: sodalite is closely related to lazurite, the blue mineral that gives lapis lazuli its characteristic colour.

A gold-coloured square-faced detail breaks the rounded rhythm, its face marked with a dark circular line pattern. Small silver-coloured rings add their own bright glints. In a little imagined seascape, the pale streaks become ribbons of foam, and that patterned square becomes a tiny beacon among the blue waves.
