A Dark Gleam of Shungite
Shungite catches the eye through contrast: black and deep charcoal, blue-grey reflective patches, and bright white highlights. The surface looks smooth and glossy, yet faint fine lines and patchy tones give it subtle variation. Its pebble-like form has an easy, unforced character, with rounded corners and flatter faces interrupting the curves of an irregular outline.
There is a small imagined world in these colours: a woodland pool beneath a leafy canopy, its dark water catching little openings of light.
