Selenite’s Silken Curves
Milky white and softly banded, this selenite sphere lets its surface patterns unfold in gentle curves. Pale grey ribbons pass through broader cloudy areas, while fine, closely spaced streaks give the bright, silky-looking sheen a delicate grain. A few small darker specks interrupt the pale sweep.
Selenite takes its name from Selene, the Greek moon goddess—a nod to the pale, moon-like reflection it can show. Here, broad highlights offer a luminous contrast to the quieter grey bands.
Those cloudy layers might suggest an imagined botanical garden: pale terraces, narrow paths and leaves edged with moonlight. Across that miniature dream, the fine streaks become winding trails, and the darker specks resemble scattered seeds against the sphere’s milky white.
