Selenite, a Circle of Moonlight

Pale peach tones soften the opening and upper sides of this milky-white selenite candle holder. Its deep circular opening and broad rim give the upright cylinder a simple outline, while the translucent-looking sides catch a warm play of light. It is intended for a small tea light or LED tea light.

Fine vertical striations draw the eye upward, while irregular, flaky-looking patches interrupt their lines. Bright reflective streaks add little flashes across the surface: a textured interplay of milky colour, delicate markings and gleam.

Selenite takes its name from Selene, the Greek moon goddess, recalling the pale, moon-like reflection it can show. Here, that connection invites a small imagined scene—a white tower above still water, its reflection broken into slender ribbons.
