Picasso Jasper’s Wandering Lines
Picasso jasper’s grey and off-white palette is threaded with black markings, from fine intersecting lines to broader bands. Beige, brown and occasional pale green areas soften the contrast, while mottled patches add variety to the smooth, glossy surfaces. Bright highlights catch the curves, bringing little flashes of white to the quieter colours.
Oval, rounded rectangular and irregular triangular outlines give these pebble-like forms an easy, varied rhythm. Their markings invite a little daydream: dark lines becoming river channels, pale spaces opening into terraces, each crossing suggesting another turn in an imagined landscape.
