Petrified Wood, Warmth in the Round
Dark brown gives this fossilised wood pendant its depth, crossed by amber-brown, tan and cream-coloured streaks. Some lines are fine and nearly horizontal; others gather into irregular bands, giving the circular face a shifting pattern rather than a neatly repeated design.
Light catches the smooth, glossy surface in bright, scattered gleams. Those reflections sit against the darker areas like little breaks in the shade, letting the pale streaks stand out.
The donut shape brings another kind of line into the piece: a small round opening enclosed by rounded outer edges. There is something gently playful in that contrast—the bands seem to travel across the face, while the circle keeps turning back towards its centre.
