Lapis Lazuli’s Bright Blue Drop
Vivid blue gives this lapis lazuli pendant its bold first impression, while scattered gold-coloured flecks and pale grey-white mottling invite a closer look. Its rounded drop shape narrows gently at the top and opens into a fuller lower curve. Bright white reflections catch on the smooth, glossy front, adding crisp points of light among the irregular markings.
Lapis lazuli also has a connection to the painter’s palette: its blue lazurite was ground into the pigment ultramarine. That link offers another way to enjoy the colour here—not as a brushstroke, but as a gleaming drop. The pendant suggests a sky gathered into a rounded outline, its pale mottling like wisps of cloud and each gold-coloured fleck a small spark against the blue.
