Goldstone’s Ember-Coloured Terraces

Goldstone has a warm, reddish-brown presence, with orange-red tones broken by darker patches. Goldstone is a human-made material. Bright pale reflections catch on some of its broad faces, and the piece is dotted with numerous tiny sparkling points. The irregular, angular outlines lend these chunky forms a bold character: uneven corners interrupt the broad surfaces, giving the eye plenty to explore.

Smooth-looking areas meet uneven edges, shallow lines and angular recesses—a contrast that makes the surfaces as engaging as their sparkle. In an imagined terraced garden, this palette could become rust-coloured paths and glowing steps between dark leaves.
