Chalcopyrite: A Little Cove of Golden Light
Olive green meets gold-coloured yellow-brown across these chalcopyrite stones, with darker grey-brown mottling giving the brighter areas a rich contrast. Their rounded, irregular oval outlines have a pebble-like character. Light catches the curved surfaces in bright reflective highlights.
The colours suggest a tiny imagined cove, with golden light touching rounded shores above dark water. Look closer, though, and the surfaces offer something more intricate than that first broad impression: scattered speckles, small pits and uneven patches interrupt their mostly smooth-looking appearance. A bright highlight beside a small pit makes even a gently rounded surface full of detail.
