A purple hollow full of light
Purple draws the eye into this Amethyst cathedral, where densely packed crystal points catch bright flashes of light. Darker shadows between the angular facets deepen the recessed centre, while a white to pale-lavender band traces its boundary against the rough, nearly black exterior.
Its asymmetrical outline rises from a broad, almost flat base to a narrow, rounded top. The sloping left edge gives the piece an individual silhouette, with the mostly matte outer surface framing the lively reflections within.
Amethyst’s name comes from the Greek amethystos, recalling an old belief about sobriety. Here, the crystal-lined hollow invites a small flight of fancy: a mountain sanctuary in miniature, its purple walls opening into dozens of bright, angular windows.
