Amethyst – A +

Amethyst’s Garden of Purple Light

Purple and lavender gather in this amethyst, edged with pale whitish margins and touches of grey-brown. Closely grouped points form a jagged skyline above a broader base. Bright white reflections catch on the flat, angular faces, while some purple areas appear translucent; crevices bring shadow into the uneven surface.

Amethyst’s name comes from the Greek amethystos, reflecting an old belief about sobriety. It is a small thread of human history woven into the name of this purple crystal.

Let those clustered forms become an imagined terraced garden: lavender steps, pale borders and narrow paths threading between pointed walls. The irregular outline keeps the scene from feeling too orderly—a garden built around its own wild ridges, with white light glancing from the highest edges.
