A pale opening in a rugged border
A brown and ochre outer edge gives this raw Agate its earthy frame. Inside, wavy grey and white bands lead towards an open cavity lined with pale crystalline points. Bright tips meet darker little spaces, making the centre feel especially detailed.
The contrast between border and opening is part of its appeal. A rougher edge leads to gentle bands, then to a much finer texture within. You might see an imagined little cavern, with pale ridges gathering around its entrance. The piece rewards a closer look, whether your eye follows the wavy lines or settles on the tiny bright surfaces inside.
