Blue with a Wandering Edge
Bright blue opens into blue-green across this Turquoise pendant, interrupted by irregular patches of brown, tan, muted green and darker colour. Its elongated outline is anything but uniform: rounded lobes give the edges a soft, wandering rhythm, while bumps and depressions bring an uneven texture to the glossy surface. Bright white reflections trace parts of these contours, adding glints of light to the richly varied colour.
There is something map-like about this mingling of colours. In an imagined landscape, the blue could become a winding river between terraced banks, with earthy patches breaking up its course. The circular opening near the upper-left edge offers a different kind of shape: a neat little round window within an outline that follows its own irregular path.
