Golden currents in a little sphere
Warm brown and golden-yellow meet deeper, dark brown in the Tiger eye sphere pendant. Its smooth, glossy centre carries fine speckling and streaks of colour, while silver-coloured bands sweep across the rounded face, catching bright highlights of their own.
Tiger eye is known for chatoyancy, the silky moving band of light that comes from aligned fibrous inclusions. There is a pleasing delicacy in that relationship: fine fibres behind a sweep of silky light.
These colours suggest a tiny constellation cove: golden glimmers gathered against shadow, framed by an open silver-coloured outline. In that imagined world, the crossing bands become bright paths over dark water, with little stretches of brown and gold shining between the curves.
