Tiger Eye’s Golden Ridges

This chunky tiger eye has a rugged warmth: ochre-yellow, golden-brown and reddish-brown areas alternate with charcoal-grey patches and bands. Fine wavy lines cross its broad face, where uneven ridges meet smoother-looking patches. Small highlights catch along the raised ridges and upper edges, bright against the darker recesses.

Its angular outline suggests a cavern wall in miniature, with golden passages opening between shadowed folds. The top slopes down to the right, giving the imagined rock face an uneven skyline, while the broad base lends this little landscape a substantial footing.
