Stromatolite, Wrapped in Warm Curves

Ochre and amber-brown bands sweep across this stromatolite fossil pendant, weaving between deep brown and near-black areas. Their wavy paths bring a gentle sense of movement to the circular shape, with fine pale flecks adding small interruptions to the darker surface.

The surface looks smooth and glossy, carrying a broad white reflection across its face and smaller bright highlights around the round central opening. Rounded outer edges soften the donut outline, balancing the strong colour contrasts with an easy, flowing shape.

The open centre becomes part of its visual rhythm: a little circle of space held within darker curves. Seen imaginatively, those amber-brown ribbons could be winding paths through a small, shadowed world, briefly brightening as they approach the light.
