Sodalite Candlelight, a Little Sea of Blue
Deep blue and navy give this sodalite candle holder its rich character, crossed by white and pale grey streaks. Bright highlights pick out the uneven outer surface. A large circular recess has a smoother-looking grey interior, contrasting with the angular edges of the roughly rounded form.
The intersecting pale lines suggest an imagined map of islands, with navy water gathering between bright shores. There is a pleasing contrast here: a broad, round opening held within an irregular outline, like a small sheltered harbour edged by rocky headlands.
