A Little Moonlit World in Selenite
Milky white and softly clouded with pale grey, this selenite cube has a gentle contrast between its faces. Fine parallel lines trace the sides, while the broad front-facing surface looks smoother. Bright white highlights cross the faces and edges, picking out a cube-like outline whose mostly straight edges meet at slightly uneven corners.
Selenite takes its name from Selene, the Greek moon goddess—a nod to the pale, moon-like reflection this crystal family can show. That association finds a lovely echo here in the cloudy white surface and its bright accents.
In a small imagined landscape, the lined sides might become terraces above a moonlit river, with the smoother face opening into mist. Yet the charm remains in the actual shape: broad, flat faces and corners that gently interrupt the geometry.
