Rose Quartz Drop, a Petal in the Light
Pale pink and cloudy white mingle within this rose quartz pendant, giving its rounded drop a petal-like softness. Fine pale lines add delicate detail beneath the smooth, glossy surface. The outline narrows at the top and opens into a broad curve below—a simple shape with room for all those subtle shifts of colour.
Rose quartz beads dating to around 7000 BCE have been recorded from ancient Mesopotamia, offering a glimpse of this stone in a much earlier form of adornment. Here, the drop suggests a single pale blossom beneath an imagined canopy of leaves. A bright white reflection catches the upper-right edge, with smaller highlights below; against the cloudy pink, they give the gentle shape a crisp touch of light.
