A soft circle of rose and cream

The Rhodochrosite Donut pendant brings pale pink and rose-pink together with whitish, cream and light-grey patches. Its smooth-looking face is irregularly mottled, with wavy pale bands crossing the colour rather than dividing it into tidy sections. A few small brown-grey marks add darker points to this gentle palette, while soft reflected highlights brighten the face and the lower-left edge.

A round outline, circular opening and rounded outer edges give a simple frame to all that variation. You might see a little imagined landscape within it: pale terraces beside a rose-coloured river, with light tracing the curves of its banks. The small brown-grey marks keep that landscape from becoming too orderly—little interruptions among the wandering pink and cream.
